Have you logged onto face-book, and received a spam message or wall post from someone whose profile has been hacked? Most of the time you laugh, and move one, thinking that that would never happen to you. Think again. It could happen to anyone. The question you should be asking yourself is…how do I prevent this from happening to me. It’s actually really simple. The user name is usually the easiest to crack (given that it’s usually on the front of your profile). The key to having an uncrackable account online today is to have an uncrackable password.


Step 1

Never use just letters or just numbers…You got to mix it up! If you want an uncrackable password, you have to make it complicated. You have to use both letters and numbers in a password to make it harder to crack.

Step 2

Don’t use your name or your last name as a password or apart of your password. Instead, use nicknames that your family or closest friends call you, or names of your pets or previous pets. Something you’ll remember, but something that most people don’t associate it with you.

Step 3

Always use a capital letter somewhere in your password (preferably not the first word of your password).

Step 4

Keep it between 6-10 characters long.
